About GIIP
Not a trip.
A structured executive journey.
GIIP is the first structured international academic and industry immersion platform of its kind - purpose-built for universities that believe the classroom must extend into the world's leading factories, boardrooms, and trade exhibitions. Unlike conventional study tours, GIIP is designed with academic rigour, industry partnerships, and measurable learning outcomes at its core.
Students begin with a two-day executive workshop that builds the foundational frameworks, global business vocabulary, and cultural readiness needed for international immersion. They then travel abroad for a multi-day programme combining academic sessions at partner universities, live factory and warehouse visits, participation in globally recognised trade exhibitions like the Canton Fair, and cross-cultural business experiences - culminating with professional certifications.
The Framework
Five Pillars of GIIP
Each pillar is carefully designed to deliver a specific dimension of learning - together, they create a comprehensive global immersion experience that no single classroom, workshop, or tour can replicate.
Academic Workshops
Cohort-based sessions led by international partner university faculty - combining case studies, guest lectures, and cross-cohort discussions to build a strong academic foundation for global business.
Industry Immersion
Step onto live manufacturing floors, observe automated assembly lines, quality control labs, and warehousing operations - seeing how global industries actually function at scale.
Global Trade Exposure
Immerse in the world's largest trade exhibitions like the Canton Fair, engage with international suppliers, attend B2B networking sessions, and conduct live market research.
Cultural Experience
Develop cross-cultural business intelligence through city immersions, international etiquette workshops, and authentic cultural experiences that shape a global professional mindset.
Certifications
Earn three professionally recognized certifications - the Executive Workshop Certificate, GIIP Completion Certificate, and a Partner University Certificate - validating your global learning journey.
Learning Journey
From classroom to boardroom, step by step.
Every phase of GIIP is sequenced for maximum learning impact - each milestone builds on the previous one, ensuring students arrive at every stage fully prepared to absorb, engage, and grow.
Executive Workshop
A two-day intensive foundation program that builds global business vocabulary, manufacturing and supply chain fundamentals, and the executive communication skills needed for international immersion.
International Academic Workshops
Structured sessions at partner universities abroad - where classroom meets boardroom. Students engage with international faculty, explore country-specific business environments, and participate in cross-cohort peer discussions.
Factory & Industry Visits
Real-world exposure to manufacturing, supply chain automation, warehousing, and quality control systems. Students observe how global businesses operate on the ground - from production lines to logistics hubs.
Global Trade Exhibition
Full immersion in the Canton Fair - the world's largest trade exhibition with over 60,000 booths. Students interact with international suppliers, explore emerging product categories, and practice B2B negotiation skills.
Certification
The program concludes with a formal certification ceremony recognizing completion of the Executive Workshop, GIIP Immersion, and Partner University programs. Students return with three professional certifications and a global alumni network.

What certifications are provided?+
Participants receive three professionally recognised certifications: the CTIDDP Executive Workshop Certificate, the GIIP Completion Certificate, and a Partner University Certificate. Additional international certifications are being developed for future cohorts.
What is the typical program duration?+
